General Information

The YBC was closed in 2020. The website is still used for adult leagues.

This YBC is a private volunteer undertaking that hire the facilities. We are governed by the National Association of Youth Bowling Clubs (NAYBC) who in turn are responsible to the British Tenpin Bowling Association (BTBA).

The officials and instructors of Stirchley YBC are not employees of the Lakeside Bowl but give their time free of charge.

For the protection of your child all our qualified instructors and officials have undergone statutory police checks. The Lakeside Bowl gives us excellent support with subsidised bowling fees.

The club consists of male and female bowlers aged between 6 and 18 years old.

The Club was established  on 7th October 2000 and we have  enjoyed considerable success in national competitions and county representation.

All bowlers who are members of the NAYBC and BTBA and will also be given the opportunity to enter several national and inter-centre competitions throughout the year.

The aim of the club is to provide a sporting and competitive environment in which all bowlers will have the opportunity to fulfil their individual potential.

The league includes bowlers who have been selected to represent their Counties, the Northern Bowlers Club and who also attend the JETS (Junior Enhanced Training Scheme) and England Colts Schools of Excellence.

After an initial12 weeks a new bowler will formally join the YBC,  the bowler will be issued with a club bowling shirt. There is a £5 contribution required.

Regular attendance is a requirement so that we can eventually recoup true cost.
